Septic Tank Cleaning, Removal, and Replacement

Septic tanks are an essential part of wastewater management in rural areas and small communities where connecting to the city sewage main is either impossible or inexpedient. Although these systems are extremely durable and efficient, they do require periodic maintenance and repairs to avoid costly and inconvenient clogs and backups.
At Alliance Steel, our expertise with water and sewage systems extends to septic tank cleaning, replacement, and even removal if the city sewer system expands into your area. We operate primarily in our home state of Wisconsin, but have the ability to expand our reach to the neighboring states of Michigan, Minnesota, and North Dakota, as well as to areas across the nation for special projects.
Why Clean Your System?
Septic systems are like small on-site waste treatment plants. Liquid and solid waste exit the building through your sewer pipes and are held in an underground tank, where the solids settle out to form sludge. The liquid then exits the tank into the drainfield (a bed of sand and gravel beneath the soil), where harmful organisms are filtered out.
In time, however, the sludge can build up to a point where the wastewater can no longer sit and settle out. It may back up into the sewer pipes and into the building or exit into the drainfield. This unsanitary situation can be dangerous to plant and animal life and cause damage to your home or business.
To prevent this, we recommend having your septic tank cleaned (the solids removed) once every one to three years, depending on usage. Alliance Steel can maintenance your system on an as-needed basis or on a regular schedule so you never have to remember to call or wonder when the last time was your system was cleaned.
Septic Tank Replacement
Most tanks are made from concrete or fiberglass and are buried beneath the ground, so they are extremely durable. However, they are not immortal and may develop cracks that can compromise their integrity. Our experts can carefully clean out your tank, dig it up, and remove it so it can be replaced. Even a small tank can weigh over 5,500 pounds (2.75 tons) and industrial-sized tanks can weigh nearly 10 tons, so knowledge and experience, such as are common in our contractors at Alliance, are crucial to performing this job safely.
Septic Tank Replacement
In addition to needing replaced periodically because of damage, septic tanks often need to be replaced during large construction projects where the building site, pipe right-of-way, or other infrastructure would cross intersect with the septic system. Small tanks may also need to be replaced with larger ones as the number of people using it expands. Alliance Steel can safely and efficiently replace any size septic tank or an entire septic system, including the drainfield and lead-in pipes. Whether you have an residential, commercial, or industrial project, we can meet your needs.
